2023 Leah Watson Pritchett Recognition Award Recipient

Dear Mirella:

Congratulations on receiving the Leah Watson Pritchett Award for 2023. We have been told that you are a selfless member of MY MS Family who volunteers at every event. On many occasions, you have driven members who required mobility assistance to their respective appointments. You have also driven many members to meetings and seminars who, without you, would have been unable to attend and participate. And you have been very helpful by generously using your vehicle to pick up and deliver accessibility equipment.

You have been described, Mirella, as an extremely worthy recipient of this award because of your caring nature, your dedication to the My MS Family organization, and your willingness to donate your valuable time to volunteer at events and to personally help other members. You fully represent the qualities that this award is intended to recognize and to celebrate.

It is very heartwarming for our entire family to know that Leah is remembered so fondly by your membership and that they choose to honour her every year in such a meaningful way. There is never a day that goes by that we don’t think of her constantly and miss her smile, her sense of humour, her courage and determination, and her kind and caring nature.

We are enclosing a small monetary gift for you to add to the certificate. Leah was a great believer in random acts of kindness and in creating a moment of joy in someone else’s day. It is our hope that we have created a moment of joy for you.

Again Mirella……congratulations!

Thank you Mirella for appreciating our Award

Hi Peter,
I’d like to thank you, and our MS Family community for choosing me as the recipient of the Leah Award.
I strongly believe, if we are able to help in any little way we can, be it lend a truck, or spend time at the Bingo Hall to raise money, I am more than happy to do it. It is amazing to see, how much money our group has raised for our community. I am so happy My MS Family is making BIG differences in peoples lives, and I am so grateful to be a part of it.
The plaque you gifted to me, sitting on my kitchen island, is a beautiful reminder to me to be proud of what i do for our MS Family.  I am honoured to be recognized for my contributions to our group.
Peter, without your leadership, and dedication to every single member of our group, none of this would be possible.  Thank you for creating this wonderful space where we all feel supported and we can all make a difference.
