The York Region MY MS FAMILY Chapter welcomes each and one of you to the 11th City of Vaughan MS Flag Raising Awareness Event. It’s an exciting and important time for the Chapter as we continue to build awareness and reach out to the citizens of Vaughan, to help and support those living with MS. The MS Flag, flying high at the Vaughan City Hall will be a beacon that we are here to raise awareness and much need funds to find a CURE for this debilitating disease. We will tear down barriers, build bridges, and to deliver hope and encouragement to all citizens’ living with MS.

Mayor Steven Del Duca, Deputy Mayor Linda Jackson, Regional Councilors and City Councilors, Federal MP’s representatives  and Provincial MPP’s representative’s thank you for your continued support and for joining forces with the York Region MY MS FAMILY Chapter in helping us in obtaining our GOALS!

Let me give you a brief update on where we are today. Our York Region MY MS FAMILY Chapter consists of over 350 members living with MS and many more including their family members. Multiple Sclerosis is not an individual disease. MS also affects the family and friends of those affected by MS. Therefore our membership exceeds thousands. Our focus is to help our members with accessibility needs as well their emotional and financial needs. We need your help and support! You have heard it takes a village to raise a child. What does it take to raise a community?  It takes an organization and a city with dedicated citizens to help those in need. This is the reason why we are here today. We are very proud to be associated with such a forward thinking compassionate and consciences community like The City of Vaughan.

My personal respect and thanks goes out to all of you.  Thank you for your time!

Collectively as community we can create and implement a platform that we will continue to strive for the ultimate cure. In the meantime we will continue to provide help to those individuals affective by MS and their family.

Every day we do that!  We are one step closer to finding a cure. We will continue to fund research and client services for those who suffer with MS.
One smile a day and one positive thought ….

MY MS FAMILY CARES!!!
